How to get out of life; 'Nomadland' answers

New hopeful for Oscars 2021, 'Nomadland', has had a very successful run on the festival circuit, partly due to a unique perspective on social life in the US.

 Chloe Zhao’s 'Nomadland' won both Best Feature and the Audience Choice awards at the 30th Gotham in the US on Monday, promising a good future for Frances McDormand's starrer.

The  docu-fictional hybrid enjoys impressive cinematography with great performances of its professional cast, but what makes this film so special is the way it looks at how we should get out of life like a nomad. 

 'Nomadland'  becomes a favorite catch for the audience members,  which shows life outside the box with no room for improvement and adventure.

The theme is related to gifting yourself with some kind of private retreat through a nomad lifestyle when others are shying away from the fact that modern life keeps ruining mental health and comfort in life.  

"After losing everything in the Great Recession, a woman embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad," the flick's synopsis reads. 

While this is what you can get from 'Nomadland' in the first place,  the movie also depicts a new plight in the US where the grey-haired middle-class became poor and can’t afford to maintain a home due to financial problems. So they have become nomads, maybe against their will, as a new American tribe roaming the country in camper vans in which they sleep.

The admirable part of the movie is to show a romantic portrayal of life on the road without ignoring the possible potholes along the way.
